Pops Orchestra
START members are sad that the 50th season of the Pops Orchestra has come to an end. Providing usher support for their concerts is such a fun and entertaining way to give back to the community.

Challenger Baseball
A favorite volunteering opportunity for START members is Challenger Baseball. Members showed up on March 14th for a fun morning of baseball and pizza afterwards. This time we played in the outfield as well as helped the Challenger team and two members won awards for their 'superb' outfielding!

Nokomis Area Civic Association
START members helped support the Nokomis Area Civic Association (NACA) Historic Nokomis Day. Our volunteers took charge of the raffle table from setup to tear down and monitored the children’s inflatable games In partnership with Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, this was a fundraiser to offer scholarships for local kids to attend an 8-week summer camp.

Early Learning Coalition
START members had fun helping Early Learning Coalition with their Storybook Street on February 7th. The Storybook Street is designed to foster an early love for reading, involving children ages birth to five. Each family that came had the opportunity to stop by literacy booths and walk away with 20 books, as well as a swag bag of goodies.
