Anchor House Holiday Party

Haunted Trails

START participated in the Osprey-Nokomis Chamber of Commerce Haunted Trails event at Oscar Scherer State Park . Family Promise received $300 from the Chamber because START decorated a small table, manned the table for 2 hours on 2 nights and passed out Halloween candy (provided by the Chamber) to a steady stream of children.

South County Food Pantry

In START's first outreach project, volunteers offered hands-on support to the South County Food Pantry in the remodeling of their new location.  They were not just painters. They were creating solutions to make windows leak proof and framing out various areas of disrepair.  They were sanding down doors to better fit and making sure that the final touches were accomplished to make to building presentable.
