Holiday Brunch and Annual General Meeting
START held it's Holiday Brunch and Annual General Meeting on December 18th. Besides the food, everyone enjoyed being together and meeting new members. Members also donated over-the-counter items for Good Samaritan Pharmacy.
October Meet & Greet
START held a Meet & Greet on October 26th where new and potential members were able to hear a presentation on our organization and have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of each of our Board members.
August Social
START held a Social on August 9 and members enjoyed the good company and food at Waterfront Too.
July Social
START members met at the Service Park Beach on Monday, July 11. The afternoon storms were a bit threatening but once cleared, the beach couldn’t have been more pleasant with a cooling breeze.
May Social
START members enjoyed a social event at Tarpon Point Grill & Marina on May 23rd. It was a beautiful setting on the Myakka River, a spectacular view from the dock seating reserved just for START, a chance to chat with our wonderful friends, and good food!
Meet and Greet
START was finally able to hold a Meet and Greet event to welcome our new and potential members. When START began in 2019, we scheduled a "Meet and Greet” on a regular basis so that our members could hear about START and meet the Board of Directors soon after they joined or expressed an interest in joining. Sadly, COVID put a stop to holding this type of gathering. The last one was held February 2020 and this one was cancelled twice because of COVID surges. It felt so good to actually meet and enjoy the company of 14 new households and 2 potential new members.
